SNMAT 25/26 Admissions Round

Although admissions processes are currently devolved down to the local governing body at each partner academy, the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust is its Own Admissions Authority.  As the OAA, the Trust determines the admission arrangements for all partner academies within the MAT.

It is a requirement of the school admissions code that the OAA publish their arrangements on their website.

25/26 Admissions Timetable-Primary & Infant Academy places

If your child lives in Nottinghamshire and was born between 01 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 you will need to apply for a school place between 4 November 2024 and 15 January 2025. The Offer date is 16 April 2025.

If your child is a Lincolnshire resident looking to apply for a place at the West Grantham CofE Primary Academy this can be done between 15 November 2024 and 15 January 2025 by visiting: Apply for a school – Applying to primary or junior schools – Lincolnshire County Council

25/26 Admissions Timetable-Secondary Academy places

If your child lives in Nottinghamshire and requires a school place in September 2025 you must apply to Nottinghamshire County Council between 5 August 2024 and 31 October 2024. The Offer date is 1 March 2025.

Changing School in-year

An in-year application is for children requiring a school place during the school year, rather than at the usual transfer time. All SNMAT academies have opted into their respective Local Authorities in Year coordinated schemes. Right of Appeal

Under the terms of the School Admissions Appeals Code 2021, if you apply for and are refused a place at an SNMAT partner academy you have the right to appeal.

Admission Appeals at all (Nottinghamshire) SNMAT academies are managed by Nottinghamshire County Council, who provide an independent appeals process.  If you decide that you wish to proceed with an appeal, you should within 20 school days of the date of the refusal letter complete the online form on Nottinghamshire County Council’s website:

For parents/carers who are unable to use the online form, a printed form can requested from our customer contact centre – 0300 500 80 80.

Appeals at SNMAT academies will be heard by an Independent Appeals Panel in accordance with the School Admissions Code 2021, The School Admissions Appeals Code 2022 and Part 3 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998.
